This was sent to me today and I found it to be so profound and the end is a great reminder:
What is Prayer?
Is it measured words that are memorized,
Forcefully said and dramatized,
Offered with pomp and with arrogant pride
In words unmatched to the feelings inside?
No...prayer is so often just words unspoken
Whispered in tears by a heart that is broken...
For God is already deeply aware
Of the burdens we find too heavy to bear,
And all we need do is to seek Him in prayer
And without a word He will help us to bear
Our trials and troubles-our sickness and sorrow
And show us the way to a brighter tomorrow...
There's no need at all for impressive prayer
For the minute we seek God He is already there! |

I like..thank you, Pretti. I believe that too, He is always here, not just over there.
I've said many incoherent prayers through snotty tears, Dear Lord, hear me cry when I've felt so weak and marred. He was and still is with me, always.
Love,
Oluwa _________________

Oh my gosh, PIP -
This is SOO TRUE...I am a follower of Joyce Meyer, and she talks often about how so many people try SO HARD to sound "correct" and/or "religious", when all God wants is for us to talk to Him. The vocabulary and format are not important, just our relationship with Him.
I cant wait to sent this to my friends in my womans group - they'll love it too!
Thank you again...
