Hi - glad you found this site. Pleurisy is fairly common in lupus. It does mean that an organ is involved (the lungs) and it can be painful. I'm not sure if pleurisy would be considered 'organ threatening', though. Here's a link to the Lupus Foundation of America website and the page that talk about those kind of symptoms. Hope it's helpful.

thanks mnjodette,

so i read that

i think its pleurisy

but it also has a fever component too

...it doesnt really matter what i think

im starting to think she should see a doctor but its kinda tricky

she just saw one right before this happened and she was fine, they took xrays and stuff

and she goes through this every year just about, or so she says

and it has even been worse and lasted months, she tells me

so making the case for her to see a doctor, when she doesn't really like doctors, well....

im just taking it one step at a time, i am new to this, she is not

im a guy, she's always right.

i got a lead from another post here on a local doctor so i think im gonna try to get her in there anyways

thanks again,

-s
