Our life is a gift, and our diagnoses can be part of that gift. I never would have the depth of understanding about differing abilities, about pain, about courage if I wasn't given lupus. It is a condition to me - not a "disease" - a condition that is part of my life. Not something that takes away from the ease of my soul.

Thank you for that uplift and it is so true. You see people, situations, illnesses, etc. with a different set of eyes (or at least I do now) and it make you less like you to judge a person or their situation by what you see on the surface.
