Hi-
Does anyone know what elevated C3 and C4 serums mean? I just got back some tests and I'm curious if anyone knows anything about this. I believe it was part of an urinalysis.
Thanks much-

FYI...
Complement is a blood protein that destroys bacteria and helps control inflammation. Your doctor is looking for evidence of a chronic, inflammatory disorder of the immune system.
Complement C3 Complement component 4 are blood tests that measures the activity of a certain protein that is part of the complement system. The complement system is a group of proteins that move freely through your bloodstream.
The proteins work with your immune system and play a role in the development of inflammation.
