hi everybody
i am new to the site.
my girlfriend has lupus sle
ive been reading about lupus and i went straight to prognosis
they break it down into 2 groups, organ threatening and non organ threatening
i think my gf has non organ threatening, she say that anyways.
but she has pleurisy symptoms.
can you have non organ threatening lupus sle and still have pleurisy symptoms?
any insite and advice is appreciated
i just want to learn so that i can help |

Hi - glad you found this site. Pleurisy is fairly common in lupus. It does mean that an organ is involved (the lungs) and it can be painful. I'm not sure if pleurisy would be considered 'organ threatening', though. Here's a link to the Lupus Foundation of America website and the page that talk about those kind of symptoms. thanks mnjodette,
so i read that
i think its pleurisy
but it also has a fever component too
...it doesnt really matter what i think
im starting to think she should see a doctor but its kinda tricky
she just saw one right before this happened and she was fine, they took xrays and stuff
and she goes through this every year just about, or so she says
and it has even been worse and lasted months, she tells me
so making the case for her to see a doctor, when she doesn't really like doctors, well....
im just taking it one step at a time, i am new to this, she is not
im a guy, she's always right.
i got a lead from another post here on a local doctor so i think im gonna try to get her in there anyways
