Hi again everyone!
I was told about this stuff called XanGo and about how amazing it is and how people get off all their meds and stuff from this miracle juice made from this mangosteen fruit... It came with all these testimonials from Lupus patients and all these other diseases... But, the pamphlet I read said it was an immune stimulant... How could that be good for an over active immune system?
Has anyone ever heard of this? Has anyone ever tried this? Is this just snake oil, or maybe worth a shot?
Thanks! _________________ "All sounds are potentially dangerous.

SoleSinger:
I have heard of the juice, Mangosteen. At our silent auction for our Lupus Walk, a woman had 2 bottles up for auction. My mother read the pamplet with the dr. endorcement and decided to get this at any price so that my 13 year old would be cured of SLE, arthritis and her severe myositis. I still have the pamphlet. I asked the Dr.'s and nurses at Children's Hospital and they told me "Don't get your hopes up. In Canada if it has no clinical studies that prove it cures an ailment,it can't claim it. I don't want to go there.
Personally, I won't give it to her after talking with the medical staff. It is suppose to 'boost' your system. With SLE your antibodies are"boosting' too much. The meds are to slow things down. I think that maybe some people that had taken Mangosteen would have gone into remission regardless of the juice (which is thick and yucky for me). I think they prey on people want to get rid of whatever disease they have. Because we are so desperate, that we will do anything. I think that it is snake oil But, like I said, it is MY opinion. I really wish there was a miracle pill that would make it go away for you and all who have it.
There are so many knowledgeable people here, I am sure that you will get more info. |

I tried Xango and it doesn't taste bad but only took it for about a month or so. The only thing I really noticed was more energy. My chiro sells it at his office but it's pretty expensive at $40 a bottle. I still have some in the fridge and will drink the rest of it but can't see paying so much. The claim is that it will help you get off alot of anti-inflammatory meds etc but don't know if I didn't take it long enough or not. Hope someone else had better results. _________________ Catlady4520 |
