... I am reminded that everything that shares the Breath of God Almighty MUST praise Him, for that is the very reason why I was created in His very image and likeness.
When I don't "feel" like praising God, I think of those who have lost all physical ability to lift their hands or leap for joy, those who are unable to see the manifestations of God's glory through nature, those who cannot hear the word of God being preached or sung...
When I don't "feel" like praising God, I realize that my feelings are temporay, inconstant, forever wavering, cannot be trusted... then with all that I have, I cry out to God to touch me, and I open my mouth and begin thanking Him for all that He is, all that He has done, all that He shall do... In spite of... And I remain in that place of thanksgiving until my spirit overpowers my "feelings," and the Spirit of God takes precidence over the moment.
No, you will not always "feel" like praising God. But go for it anyway, for this pleases the Father greatly.
