Hi Budaptt:
When you say that her Lupus has affected her heart and lungs...do you mean that she has been diagnosed with pericarditis and pulmonary hypertension???
Please read "Lupus Symptoms" on this site. I have explained both conditions there. If you have any more questions, please write again and I will answer all that I can!

Good Luck

It sounds like she's already been diagnosed and what you are saying is that it's effected her heart and kidneys... and that is worrysome to you.

That is what lupus does. SLE lupus is different from person to person.

Please make sure your friend sees a Rhuemotoligist that is very familliar with Lupus... (most are).

I've had the same issues myself... and I have to tell you... sometimes lupus can attack one organ for a period...(or several) and stop and switch to another just as fast, or even go suddenly to symptom free for a while.
