Since it usually it takes between 4 to 12 weeks before you will notice any improvement with Methotrexate, it may also be the same if you stop taking it. I would imagine that, after being off of it for six weeks, the drug is probably no longer in your system and there are no more effects of the drugs. I do know that often, when the drug is withdrawn, as has been done in studies, all signs of improvement disappear and a flare-up of symptoms occurs within a few weeks.
