Am I wrong but isnt cymbalta and effexor about the same thing???? And what do most of us take for sleep problems? Bad sleep problemsThanks so much. Greeneyes58  |

Cymbalta and Effexor are similar in that both target the serotonin and norepinephrine receptors, so they do have similar side effects and precautions. I'm not sure about the chemical differences, but if you had a bad experience with effexor, you should make sure your doctor knows about it before taking cymbalta.
Unfortunate, sleep problems are very common in lupus and can be caused by several different things. There are a number of different treatments for insomnia - the best one for you depends on your personal medical history, other medications, lifestyle and a lot of other factors that affect your sleep, so this is something you definitely need to discuss with your doctor. |
